I developed the idea for this post as a lament to all the non-funny funniness that goes on here at work.
Stuff that's only funny if you're over 45.
And how people who aren't funny think they are funny, and then say things like, "Boy you guys have too much time on your hands!"
Or "This place is a hoot."

What the hell is a hoot? In terms of "good times" I mean.

That's what I was going to talk about.
Then I came up with the current subject line before I even logged on to LJ.

Now the post is whittled down and changed to this:

When I'm old, I hope all the younger kids and people call me Old Spice.
Maybe even Old Man River. That would be funny too.

Maybe just to me. When I'm old, you can call me Old Spice. And I'll laugh.

And if I'm the only one laughing now, then the first part to this post that this post ended up not being about is a good example of IRONY.
